実家の仏間にある過去帳に目を通す。
先祖代々、この土地で生きてきたことが分かる。
私が幼少の頃になんとなく眺めていた水平線は祖先も眺めていたであろう変わらない光景だ。近年では意識的に水平線を見つめて撮影している。

人は意識して無意識という概念を認める事は出来るが、無意識は意識を認める事は出来ない。祖先が眺めていたであろう水平線をある境界線として見立て意識して繰り返し撮影することで見えてくる境地があるのではないか？という仮説を立て撮影に臨んでいる。

I review the ancestral record book kept in the Buddhist altar room at my childhood home.
It reveals that my ancestors have lived on this land for generations.
The horizon I gazed at casually in my childhood is an unchanged landscape that my ancestors must have also beheld. In recent years, I have been photographing it with conscious intention.
While consciousness can acknowledge the concept of the unconscious, the unconscious cannot recognize consciousness. I approach my work with the hypothesis that by consciously and repeatedly photographing the horizon—viewing it as a boundary that my ancestors would have gazed upon—a new state of awareness may emerge.

我翻阅着老家佛堂里保存的祖先记录册。
从中可知,祖祖辈辈都在这片土地上生活过。
我幼时无意间眺望的那条地平线,应该也是祖先们曾经眺望过的不变风景。近年来,我开始有意识地凝视地平线并进行拍摄。
人可以通过意识来认知无意识这一概念,但无意识却无法认知意识。我将祖先们应该眺望过的地平线视为某种界限,带着这样的假设进行拍摄:通过有意识地反复拍摄,或许能够看到某种境界。
